With TreemanSites, a tree service website costs $300 to build a Starter site with up to 5 pages, or $600 for a Pro site with up to 12 pages, then $40 a month for hosting, care and security. Redesigning a site you already have is $300, or free when you pay 12 months upfront ($480). Building it yourself on Wix or Squarespace costs about $12 to $39 a month in cash, plus your time. A general web agency usually costs more, so check they know how tree companies get jobs.
Your options, side by side
Builder prices are from the Wix and Squarespace pricing pages in October 2026, paid yearly. Freelancer and agency quotes vary too much to give one number, so the table says what to expect instead.
| Option | To build | Each month | Who does the work | Made for tree work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paid builder (Wix, Squarespace) | $0 | About $12 to $39 on most plans, paid yearly | You | Only if you build it that way |
| Freelancer | Varies widely | Hosting and edits often extra | The freelancer, then you | Depends on the freelancer |
| General web agency | Often the highest | Often a retainer or contract | The agency | Rarely |
| TreemanSites | $300 or $600 | $40, with hosting, care and edits | We do | Yes, it's all we build |
1. What a TreemanSites website costs
Every TreemanSites website has a one-time build fee and the same monthly fee. You see a free homepage mockup first, and you only pay the build fee if you like it.
- Starter website: $300 to build, up to 5 pages plus a storm damage and emergency page.
- Pro website: $600 to build, up to 12 pages with a page for each service, 3 city or county pages and Google Business Profile setup.
- Redesign of your current site: $300, or free when you pay 12 months upfront ($480). We keep what already ranks and redirect old links.
- Every plan: $40 a month for hosting, SSL, daily backups, security updates, form checks, instant lead text alerts and up to 30 minutes of edits.
- Pay yearly and hosting and care is $400 a year, so two months are free.
2. What changes the price of any tree service website
Whoever builds it, these are the things that move the price up or down. When you compare quotes, check which of them are included.
- How many pages: a page for each service and each town you serve costs more to write than a single services page, and it's what ranks.
- Who writes the words: copy written around your jobs and towns costs more than filling in a template, and converts better.
- Photos: real job photos beat stock, but someone has to sort and optimize them.
- Lead features: a call button on every phone screen, an estimate form that takes photos of the tree and instant text alerts.
- Moving an old site: keeping your rankings means redirecting every old page to its new address.
- Ongoing SEO: new pages and Google Business Profile work every month is usually a separate plan.
3. Monthly costs to plan for
A website is never only a build fee. Whoever you use, plan for these running costs.
- Hosting, security and updates: included in our $40 a month, and part of every builder plan.
- Your domain name: a small yearly fee if you register it yourself. Make sure it's in your name.
- Business email at your own domain: $20 a month with Google Workspace if you want it.
- Edits: small changes are included with us. Elsewhere they're often billed by the hour.
- Optional growth: local SEO from $99 a month, or an AI receptionist that answers missed calls and website chat from $39 a month.
5. Is a cheap website worth it?
A cheap website is fine if it does the things that bring in calls: it loads fast on a phone, shows your number on every screen, has a page for each service and town, shows real reviews and makes asking for an estimate easy. Many cheap sites skip those, and that's where the real cost is: jobs that go to the company whose site does.
A simple way to judge any quote: compare the yearly cost with what one tree removal job is worth to your business. If the site brings in even a few extra jobs a year, it has paid for itself.
6. Should you build it yourself?
Building your own site on Wix or Squarespace makes sense if you're just starting, money is tight and you have time in the slow season. If you do, include the things that matter for tree work.
- Your phone number at the top of every page, as a tap-to-call button on phones.
- A page for each service you want more of, and for your main towns.
- A short estimate form, ideally one that takes a photo.
- Your Google reviews and real job photos.
- A storm damage and emergency page.
How to compare website quotes
Put every quote side by side and ask the same questions. What is the upfront cost, and what is the monthly cost after that? How many pages are included, and who writes them? Are edits included or billed by the hour? How long is the contract? Who owns the domain and the site if you leave? Do you see a design before you pay? A quote that answers all of these clearly is easier to trust than a cheaper one that doesn't.
